Archbishop Victor (Kotsaba) of Baryshevskyi told how the UOC supports Ukrainians during the war, Fraza writes.
“From the first day of the war, all believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church rallied around our Primate. After the official statement of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry, everyone felt that every Ukrainian should show courage, not despair, stand up for their native land, and work to the best of their ability where they can.
Tens of thousands of our believers, including the children of priests, joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the territorial defense. In those places where active hostilities took place, the temples of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church took on the functions of local centers of assistance, where the priest and parishioners fed, settled, and provided medical assistance to the victims of the war and found themselves in difficulty,” – the hierarch noted.
