The Holy Dormition Church of the UOC in the village of Korobchino was “transferred” to the OCU.

The Holy Dormition Church of the UOC in the village of Korobchino, Kirovograd region, was “transferred” to the OCU. This was reported on the 4th of October by the local publication Novomirgorodskiye Vesti.

Attempts to “transfer” the temple began back in May. The local priest, Archpriest Ioann Goncharuk, who has been serving in the parish for 25 years, opposed and sealed the church.

In June, believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, according to NV, appealed to the regional military administration with a request not to interfere in the situation, confirming their faithfulness to the UOC.

However, the UVA did not listen to the believers of the UOC and decided to “transfer” the temple to the OCU.

The temple is an architectural monument of exceptional beauty. The architect was, according to one version, Alexander Bernardazzi, who built only three such bright and majestic temples in Ukraine, according to another version ‒ Yakov Pauchenko.

The report notes that the first “service” will come to “serve” in this church “Bishop of Kropyvnytskyi and Golovanovskyi” Mark (Levkiv). The date of the first “service” of the OCU is not yet known, as is the name of the “priest” who will be assigned to this parish by the OCU.
