On August 18, 2022, the Exarch of the Phanar in Ukraine, Bishop Mikhail of Koman (Anishchenko), appointed Patrick Panasyuk, who is also the chairman of the St. Marina Polish-Greek Foundation, as his adviser.
On September 13, Mr. Patrick received an appointment, writes SFU.
According to the new adviser, “exarchates in the Orthodox Church perform functions similar to apostolic nunciatures, and exarchs are the highest representatives of the Patriarch of Constantinople in the local government and the local Church.”
Patrick Panasiuk is an activist in the Orthodox community in Poland and specializes in religious politics and the diplomatic protocol of the Orthodox Church. He graduated from the Theological National University of Athens (Greece) and the University of Warsaw. Works for Polish-Greek relations and is the initiator of the Polish-Greek Ostra Brama Festival in Athens.
