7 persons were evacuated from the Svyatogorsk Lavra

On September 5, 2022, civilians were evacuated from the Holy Dormition Svyatogorsk Lavra of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This was reported on the Facebook page of the Svyatogorsk military administration.

“On Sunday, elderly spouses were evacuated from the monastery, where civilians are hiding from Russian shelling, and this morning a family of five was successfully evacuated, two of whom are young children,” the administration said.

According to officials, the evacuation of the civilian population from the Holy Dormition Svyatogorsk Lavra was carried out by military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported about the evacuation of 17 people from the Lavra.
