The leadership of the World Council of Churches did not deprive the Russian Orthodox Church of its membership in this organization.
This was announced by the former cleric of the UOC, now a representative of the OCU, Andriy Dudchenko.
“For the first time, the delegations of the OCU and the UOC are represented, although not yet as members. Despite the requests of three churches and several individuals, the leadership of the WCC did not deprive the ROC of its membership. The audience welcomed the announcement of this decision with applause,” Dudchenko wrote.
Earlier it was reported that in his speech the President of Germany criticized the Russian Orthodox Church.
