The head of the International Institute of Athos Heritage Sergiy Shumylo published photos of farewell to the hierarch of the Church of Constantinople, Metropolitan Kallistos (Ware).

As noted in the publication of Sergiy Shumylo on Facebook, the farewell took place in the Greek community of the Holy Trinity in Oxford.

The famous Orthodox theologian and writer, Metropolitan Kallistos (Ware) of Diokleia, died early in the morning on August 24, 2022. In 2019, he was one of the few representatives of the Church of Constantinople who criticized the actions of the Phanar in Ukraine.
