On August 29, 2022, in the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the DECR ROC, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation, Yermek Kosherbayev, mospat informs.

From the side of the DECR, the meeting was attended by Archpriest Sergiy Zvonarev, Secretary for Far Abroad Affairs, Priest Dimitry Safonov, Secretary for Interreligious Relations, and embassy employees were also present at the meeting.

The parties discussed preparations for the participation of the delegation of the Russian Orthodox Church in the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which is scheduled for September 14-15, 2022 in the capital of Kazakhstan, the city of Nur-Sultan.
