These are the ruins of the Transfiguration Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Ivano-Frankivsk, the priest came here to pray on its temple feast, writes the UOJ.

For many years, hundreds of believers gathered here on this day. They decorated their church, went to confession, took communion, and met the Transfiguration of the Lord together.

Today there is only construction debris and a broken lectern.

In early 2022, the local council decided to demolish the church. The reason is the allegedly urgent need to build a kindergarten on this site. The temple was destroyed in 2 days. Almost 8 months have passed since then, no one is going to build anything.
