Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia expressed condolences to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in connection with the death of people as a result of an explosion in a shopping center in Yerevan.

“I received the news of the tragedy that occurred in the shopping center in Yerevan with great sadness. As a result of the fire and the collapse of the building, many people were killed and injured.

I deeply empathize with the people of fraternal Armenia and ask you to convey my sincere condolences to everyone affected by this terrible disaster, especially to those who have lost their loved ones. I would like to assure you that the Russian Orthodox Church, represented by the clergy and laity of the Yerevan-Armenian Diocese, is ready to provide moral support to all who need it,” the head of the Russian Orthodox Church wrote.
