More than 300 Hasidim arrived in Uman, Cherkasy region, on the eve of Rosh Hashanah. It is reported by UNN with reference to the mayor of the city Irina Pletneva.
She added that the guests were not expected and asked not to come because of the war.
“About a little more than 300 (Hasidim – ed.) arrived. We didn’t expect them, and and don’r welcome them now, and we appealed to them thousands of times so that they don’t come here, because the situation is not good at all. They should not come and endanger both themselves and our residents,” Pletneva said.
She also noted, however, that she had no right to forbid the Hasidim to come.
