On August 11, 2022, 29 people were baptized in the village of Chinsewu (Malawi). This was informed in his Telegram channel by the Patriarchal Exarch of the Russian Orthodox Church in Africa, Metropolitan of Klin Leonid (Gorbachev).

“The Sacrament was performed by Dean Priest George Chabwera. A group of Protestants, together with the pastors, went through a proclamation for a long time under the leadership of Father George and yesterday became children of the Russian Orthodox Church,” writes the Metropolitan.
