Two more Orthodox communities in Kenya transferred to the ROC

The parishes of St. Anthony in the village of Enego and St. Nikodim in the village of Kamarich in Kenya asked to receive them under the omophorion of the Moscow Patriarchate.

The Patriarchal Exarch of the ROC in Africa, Metropolitan Leonid (Gorbachev) of Klin, announced this in his Telegram.

“The elders of the communities contacted the dean of the Nandi district, Priest Titus Kipnjen, after which he visited the parishes, answered the questions of the believers, and held catechism talks.

Today, Father Titus received both communities into the Russian Orthodox Church and celebrated the Divine Liturgy,” writes Metropolitan Leonid.

Earlier it was reported that the ROC opened an administrative center in Kenya.
