Eucharistic vessels and liturgical vestments, a gift from the Orthodox Christians of Australia and New Zealand to the parishes of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa operating on Madagascar, have been delivered to the island. This is reported by the website of the Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church.
The total weight of the received cargo was about 90 kilograms. As expected, another batch of church utensils will be sent to the island in mid-August.
“The clergy of the Patriarchal Exarchate in Madagascar thanks Metropolitan of Klin Leonid, cleric of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia Archpriest Vladimir Boikov (Auckland, New Zealand), Archpriest Andrey Novikov (Moscow) and all those who have worked in this matter,” the message says.
