In the village of Pochapintsy, Ternopil region, the parishioners of the community of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women of the OCU (UAOC) refused to accept as a new rector the clergyman appointed by the head of the Ternopil-Buchatsky diocese, “Archbishop” Tikhon Petranyuk. The video was posted by human rights activist Victoria Kokhanovskaya.
The current rector of the community, “mitred archpriest” Roman Budzinsky, who was “imposed a ban on service” by Petranyuk, challenged this ban with Patriarch Bartholomew. Budzinsky’s community is supportive.
Earlier, the parishioners of the community of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women of the OCU (UAOC) in the village of Pochapintsy, Ternopil region, held a meeting at which they decided to turn to the head of the OCU, Epiphanius Dumenko, with a request to accept the community into their direct subordination with the status of “stavropegic”.
