As of the end of July, about 500 Ukrainians remain in the Holy Dormition Svyatogorsk Lavra. This was stated by the head of the military administration of the Svyatogorsk territorial community Vladimir Rybalkin, who was quoted by Novosti Donbass, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

“I can say that there are now about 450 people left in the Lavra, there were more three weeks ago. Three weeks later we managed to take out about 150 people. Not only to us, but also to the volunteers who participated in this. Currently, traffic on the roads leading to the Lavra has been suspended. The issue of further evacuation, routes, humanitarian aid for the Lavra is being resolved,” Rybalkin said.
