On July 27, 2022, at a meeting of the Synod of the OCU, they agreed on the content of the letter that this structure intends to send to Warsaw to the Primate of the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church. This was reported in the press release of the meeting.
“The text of a letter to His Beatitude Savva, Metropolitan of Warsaw and all of Poland, was also agreed on about complaints against the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, which come from the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church to the Ecumenical Patriarchate,” the publication on the OCU website says.
Probably, they are talking about the scandalous visit of the hierarch of the OCU, formerly Metropolitan of the UOC Alexander Drabinko to Poland, because of which the PAOC clarified this event in the Phanar.
“The leadership of the Polish Church had no grounds for discontent. The Metropolitan arrived as a private person, held meetings with diplomats, in scientific institutions, and took part in the presentation of a unique publication. He did not conduct or participate in divine services, and therefore did not need this permission. It is obvious that in the Polish Church they are not familiar with church law or they decided to play it safe,” they said in the OCU then.
