Orthodox volunteers of the UOC delivered humanitarian aid to Sloviansk and Chernihiv

100 food sets with cereals were handed over to the Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov in the city of Slavyansk (Gorlovka and Slavyansk diocese). This was reported by the Telegram channel “The Church helps“.

“Humanitarian aid was delivered from Canada at the initiative of the Romanian Orthodox Church through the Chernivtsi-Bukovina diocese of the UOC through the efforts of Archpriest Mykola Popescu,” the mission staff noted.

Orthodox volunteers also brought food worth 30,000 hryvnias to Chernihiv. Part of the humanitarian aid was received by believers of the church of St. Michael the Archangel in the village of Brusilov, and the other was handed over to the community of the temple complex near the house of St. Lawrence of Chernigov, where a charitable refectory operates.

Earlier it was reported that in Severodonetsk, at the UOC Cathedral, they provide hot meals to those in need.
