The hierarch of the UOC-KP in the USA and Canada visited the parish in Chicago

On July 17, 2022, Secretary of the Vicariate of the UOC-KP in the USA and Canada Luka Zgoba visited the parish of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Chicago (Saint Nicholas Church 17935 Springfield Homewood, Illinois 60430), where Boris Zabrodsky is a rector.

This was announced on Facebook by Luka Zgoba.

The message also says that the rector has been heading the community of St. Nicholas for 63 years; the hierarch of the UOC-KP in the USA and Canada gave him an award from the “patriarch” Filaret.

On that day, Filaret’s representative in North America, Luka Zgoba, held an organizational meeting with the clergy. “Urgent issues of the development of the vicariate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate in America were discussed: the opening of new parishes and the Seminary in the state of Pennsylvania, a children’s summer camp in the states of Ohio and Wisconsin, Sunday schools and holding the World Congress of Orthodox Youth in Chicago. The Vicar also said that he was working on a new project for the provision of pensions for priests of the Vicariate of the UOC-KP,” the publication informs.

Earlier it was reported that the OCU summoned Luka Zgoba “for trial”.
