The Ternopil Regional Council is “ready to comprehensively assist in resolving all problematic issues” so that the process of transition to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine takes place on the territory of the region as soon as possible. This was stated by the head of the Ternopil Regional Council Mikhail Golovko, according to the website of the regional council.
“In the near future, we also plan to hold a session of the Ternopil Regional Council and vote for an appeal to the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers on the adoption of a law banning the activities of the Moscow church. We will also turn to the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine to resolve the problem with the state registry,” the official said.
