In Khmelnitsky village, OCU activists, with the assistance of the authorities, tried to seize the temple of the UOC

On July 3, 2022, in the village of Knyazhpol, Kamenetz-Podolsk district, Khmelnytsky region, supporters of the OCU tried to seize the Paraskevinsky temple of the UOC, rector Fr. Ilya Anferov told UOJ.

After the liturgy, when the community served a prayer service for peace in Ukraine, activists of the OCU, led by “priest” Igor Borovsky, tried to enter the church. The parishioners were forced to lock the doors and call the police. During the service, the OCU activists knocked on the windows and shouted insults.

After the arrival of the police, the parishioners opened the doors and showed the law enforcement officers all the documentation for the temple. During the discussions, the OCU members demanded from Fr. Elijah to give the keys to the temple, but were refused. As a result, the doors were locked with two locks: the UOC communities and the OCU activists.
