Assistant to the deputy of the Kamenetz-Podolsky City Council, lawyer Viktoria Kokhanovskaya, in the presence of the police, opened for believers the Nikolaev Church of the UOC in the village of Kolodnoe, Zbarazhsky district, Ternopil region, which was illegally sealed by local authorities. She posted the video on Facebook.

“Personally, so that there would be no claims to anyone later, in the presence of police officers, I had to break another lock from the Temple of God in the village of Kolodnoye,” Kokhanovskaya said.

Kokhanovskaya explained her actions by the fact that “illegal decisions of local self-government bodies, contrary to Article 19 of the Constitution of Ukraine, are considered null and void <…> and cannot be executed by subordinate bodies.”
