On June 24, a meeting was held in Kyiv on the case of the Kyiv writer and Orthodox journalist Jan Taksyur. The court refused to release him from custody, despite cancer, according to Pershiy Kozatsky.
The meeting began on June 23, but due to the fact that Jan Taxiur was present at the meeting remotely, via zoom, it was decided to postpone the meeting to June 24.
“Today he was taken to the courtroom. Unfortunately, the court also denied the request to change the preventive measure, only partially granting the request for medical care. In particular, the court allowed access to Yan Ilyich to a specialized oncologist who should schedule an examination,” said Ruslan Kalinchuk, an Orthodox missionary and publicist who was present at the court hearing.
