More than a hundred people in Malawi wished to be baptized, – Exarch of the Russian Orthodox Church

On June 20-21, 2022, Priest George Chabvera, dean of the Zomba town district in Malawi (the Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church in Africa) made a missionary trip to the village of Moussa. This was announced in his Telegram channel by the Patriarchal Exarch of the Russian Orthodox Church in Africa, Metropolitan of Klin Leonid (Gorbachev).

“At a meeting with local residents, Fr. George told them about Christ and the Gospel, about the Orthodox faith.

Almost all of those present, more than a hundred people, wished to go through the catechumens (familiarization with the Christian teachings of those preparing to join the Church) and accept holy Baptism.

The clergy of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa in Malawi will continue to spiritually minister to the community of s. Moussa,” writes Metropolitan Leonid.
