Drohobych’s power dilemma: everything is legal in the UOC, but officials are “confident”: “Moscow Patriarchate should not be”

On June 20, the head of the Drohobych regional military administration, Stepan Kulinyak, together with the head of the Drohobych-Sambir diocese of the OCU, Yakov Makarchuk, discussed the functioning of the UOC churches in the Drohobych region. This was reported by the Drogobych regional military administration.

According to officials, the temples of the UOC have all the legal permits, so “it’s not so simple here from a legal point of view” – the parishioners do not intend to move to the OCU.

“However, we are all unanimously convinced that there will be no church of the Moscow Patriarchate. We will jointly work out ways to implement this,” said Stepan Kulinyak, head of the Drohobych RVA.
