The authorities of the Berehomet village council of the Chernivtsi region obliged the communities of the UOC to report the date and place of the church meetings on the transition to the OCU and to inform the Berehomet council in writing “about the progress and results of the decision to change the canonical affiliation.” The village authorities announced this on Facebook.

On May 23, 2022, at an extraordinary session of the Beregometsky Council, a decision was made in which the deputies create a working group “on the issue of the activities of the UOC on the territory of the community” headed by the village head Sergei Bodnaryuk. She must conduct “explanatory work” with the believers of the UOC. They were ordered to “take measures to change their canonical affiliation and transfer to the OCU” within 10 days.
