“The Right Sector” blocked the Church of the UOC in the Lviv region

On May 22, the Orthodox community of the Church of the Ascension of the Lord in the village of Sulimov, Lviv region, was not allowed into their shrine. According to Pershiy Kozatsky, a group of militants from the Right Sector blocked the entrance to the church for the Orthodox residents of Sulimov.

At the same time, about 50 OCU activists were already in the shrine, who were conducting their rituals.

On May 20, representatives of local authorities invited Orthodox Christians to a meeting, where they announced the re-registration of the charter.

The meeting was attended by 2 clerics of Epiphanius, the police and representatives of the UTC. They demanded that the community give them the keys to the shrine.

On May 22, more than 100 believers of the Orthodox Church were not even allowed to enter the walls of their shrine. Additional locks were installed on the temple in advance.
