The Patriarchal Exarch of the Russian Orthodox Church visits Africa

The Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Leonid of Klin (Gorbachev), began the first-ever pastoral visit of an Exarch of the Russian Church to the Black Continent, which started on May 19, 2022.

Metropolitan informed on his Telegram channel that during the visit, a meeting was held with representatives of the African Council of Religious Leaders Joshua Kitakule and Ibrahim Sali, as well as with the clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church in Africa.

“We handed over the necessary Eucharistic sets, vestments, censers, altar crosses. I laid priestly crosses on the priests, signed 6 more antimensions,” said Metropolitan Leonid.
