In the European Deanery of the “Kyiv Patriarchate” during the Easter days, fifteen services and the consecration of Easter baskets were organized in Germany and Denmark. This was informed by the Dean of Europe of the UOC-KP Volodymyr Chaika on his Facebook page.
Considering the number of Ukrainian refugees accepted in Europe, the consecrations were quite crowded.
The trip covered 14 cities, towns and communes in Germany: Emmerich am Rhein, Mönchengladbach, Weilerswist commune, Euskirchen, Bedburg, Cologne, Bremen, Hamburg, Norderstedt, Wuppertal, Solingen, Vreden, Meerbusch, Berlin.
Also, the service was held in the city of Skjern (Denmark), on the way to which the delegation of the deanery visited a shelter for refugees in Ribe.
Volodymyr Chaika says, Catholic and Evangelical churches, as well as the authorities of the cities where such a request from residents appeared, provided assistance in these services.
