Funeral services for Georgian volunteers were served by clergymen of the UOC KP in Kyiv

On April 20, 2022, at the Volodymyr Cathedral in Kyiv (the UOC-KP), funeral services to the deceased Georgian volunteers Zaza Bitsadze, Alexander Tsaava and Arkadiy Kasradze were served. The volunteers gave their lives for the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. This was reported on the UOC-KP Facebook page.

Earlier, on April 12, 2022, two Georgian volunteers David Menabdishvili and Nikoloz Shanava were said goodbye in the Volodymyr Cathedral. Defenders of Ukraine died in a battle with Russian invaders on April 9 in the Kharkiv region.

The rite of burial of five dead soldiers was performed by the clergymen of the cathedral.

“The head of the UOC-KP Filaret Denisenko expressed condolences to the brothers, relatives and friends of the fallen soldiers, and also expressed deep gratitude to the Georgian people, whose best sons, together with the Ukrainians, oppose the Russian occupier, defending Ukraine,” the Kyiv Patriarchate reports.
