By the decree of the head of the UOC-KP Filaret Denisenko dated March 22, 2022, Archimandrite Nektarios (Alexandratos), Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Australia and New Zealand, was admitted to the restored “Kyiv Patriarchate”. As reported on the UOC-KP Facebook page, he transferred to Filaret with parishes and clergy.
The Archdiocese of Australia and New Zealand includes several communities with temples and cultural centers in Australia, two communities with temples in New Zealand, one monastery in Vietnam and one in India. The parishes have Sunday schools, a mission for orphans and an educational school.
As it was reported earlier, at the end of 2022, Filaret had appointed his exarch in Greece. Before he had accepted the groups of the Greek Old Calendarists into the structure of the UOC-KP. Also, his vicariate is registered in the USA and a hierarch is ordained; the deanery of the UOC-KP operates in Europe.
Also, the Archidiocese of Australia informed that the clergyman had no canonical connection with the Church.
