Well-known publicist, satirist and host of the Orthodox channel “Pershiy Kozatsky” Yan Taksyur was detained by the Security Service of Ukraine.

Channel “Pershiy Kozatsky” cooperated with Yan Taxiur for more than 5 years. There he is called a brave, sincere and deeply religious man.

“He did a lot to fight myths and ignorance, to protect our Church and its believers from slander, hatred and discrimination. And never, in any of his material or personal conversations, did he allow anything criminal or hostile to our Ukraine. On the contrary, all thoughts were about peace, harmony and God’s order in their native land. Therefore, this news shocks us.”

Journalists do not yet know what Yan is accused of and what the search and investigation showed.
