Now there are many refugees on the territory of the Pochaev Lavra. After checking, the police reported that they had not found any information regarding the facts that the Lavra could harm the state, said Alexander Bogomol, head of the regional police department, during a briefing.

“We had a meeting with the rector, we checked everyone who is now on the territory of the shrine, we checked all the parishioners in the dormitories, because there are a lot of refugees. There are checkpoints around the Lavra, we check all those who arrive and those who leave. In general, as regards the Church of the Moscow Patriarchate “So far, we have no information that something could harm the state from these religious institutions. At the same time, we keep the situation under control,” Bogomol assured.
