On February 27, 2022, the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Porfiry, noted that the Serbian Orthodox Church will transfer material assistance to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. “We remember in prayer all those who are suffering in Ukraine today. We decided to collect all the donations that are collected in churches at Holy Liturgies and beyond today and these days, and send them to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and its Metropolitan Onufry. This will be our modest contribution and expression of love, delivered to where it is needed, and, of course, needed,” said Patriarch Porfiry after the Liturgy in the church of St. Sava in Vracar.
