In Kenya, a country that gave to the Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church more than 90 clerics, an administrative Orthodox center has been launched. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Patriarchal Exarch of the Russian Orthodox Church in Africa, Metropolitan of Klin Leonid (Gorbachev).
The hierarch informs that the center operates in the Migori deanery of the Russian Orthodox Church.
“An administrative Orthodox center has opened in the city of Migori (Migori deanery, Kenya). In addition to coordinating the clergy and laity, it will also carry humanitarian purposes. Help was provided by a local Orthodox philanthropist,” Bishop Leonid said.
Earlier it was reported that Kenyan priests who have lost access to temples are building new churches on their own plots.
