On February 14, 2022, Patriarch John of Antioch and All the East received a delegation from the Patriarch of Alexandria, Metropolitan Gregory of Cameroon and Metropolitan John of Zambia, Romfea reports.

During the meeting, the hierarchs of the Patriarchate of Alexandria spoke with Patriarch John about the development of events related to the creation of the Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church in Africa.

The proposal of Constantinople to hold a meeting of the heads of the Churches of the Pentarchy shortly before Holy Week was also discussed.

Patriarch John repeated to the delegation of the Patriarchate of Alexandria what he had said earlier to the envoy of the Patriarch of Constantinople, Elder Metropolitan of Chalcedon Emmanuel: the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Antioch would soon be convened, where these issues would be considered.
