Metropolitan Gregory of Peristeria (Orthodox Church of Greece) believes that as a punishment for the ROC, autocephaly should be taken away from her for 5 years. With such a proposal, he made during the broadcast on “Orthodoxia TV”, orthodoxie informs.

The Metropolitan also asks to convene a Pan-Orthodox Council as a follow-up to the 2016 Council of Crete in order to “respond to the provocations of the Russian Church in Africa”.

Also, the Bishop of the Church of Greece called it absurd that the Russian Orthodox Church stated that Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria had fallen into schism.

“It is absurd to punish those who follow the decision of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, and Ukraine has become a pretext for opening what was planned for 30 years,” he said.

In his opinion, for non-fulfillment of the conditions under which the autocephaly of the Russian Church was given, this status should be cancelled for 5 years.

Earlier it was reported that, according to Metropolitan Gregory, the “attack” on Hellenism was planned in the ROC for 30 years.
