The UOC-KP denied the information about the acceptance of the Serbian schismatic

The press service of the “Kyiv Patriarchate” published a refutation of the information that Filaret received in communication the representative of schismatic groups in the Balkans, “Archbishop Moses.” The statement was published on the official website of the UOC-KP.

“We have learned that the so-called Archbishop Moses from the Serbian non-canonical schismatic group made a statement on his personal page on the social network that he met with His Holiness Patriarch Filaret, has Eucharistic communion with him and was accepted into the UOC of the Kyiv Patriarchate.

We officially announce that this statement of the so-called Archbishop Moses is not true.

So, on February 3, 2022, the aforementioned “archbishop” entered the Volodymyr Cathedral at the time when the Akathist to Hieromartyr Makarios was being performed. After the service, he asked the Patriarch for a short conversation, which was of a general nature. However, there was no speech or agreement on admission to the composition and could not be.

That is why we emphasize that this “Archbishop Moses” did not have any prayerful fellowship and was not accepted into the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate, and neither he nor his followers can be accepted in the future,” the statement says.
