Only three hierarchs of the Patriarchate of Constantinople took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the birthday and the day of “enthronement” of the head of the OCU, Epiphany Dumenko. As reported the Mission of the Ecumenical Patriarchate on Facebook, on that day, Dumenko was visited by the former exarchs of the Phanar in Ukraine, involved in the creation of the OCU, Archbishop Daniel of Pamphylia (USA) and Bishop Hilarion of Edmonton (Canada), as well as the current exarch of the Phanar in Kyiv, Bishop of Koman Michael.
On this day, February 3, 2022, a divine service of the OCU was held in St. Sophia of Kyiv with the participation of these hierarchs of the Church of Constantinople.
As previously reported, former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko sent his congratulations to Dumenko.
