The Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine, congratulated the Head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, on the anniversary of his enthronement. The text of congratulations is published on the website of the Information and Education Department of the UOC.
“On this memorable day of your ascension to the throne of the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church, which shone with the deeds of many Saints, we prayerfully stay with you, asking Your Holiness from the Lord for an abundance of spiritual and bodily strength, health and peace in the high Patriarchal service. Your wonderful life path testifies to the versatility of your talents. Your pastoral sensitivity, wisdom and zeal for the assigned obediences prompted the faithful children of our Most Holy Church to choose you as the helmsman of the ship of the Holy Russian Orthodox Church, where you show yourself as a good shepherd, laying down your life for your sheep (John 10:11).
May the Lord multiply your days in peace, health and prosperity, granting His good haste for many years of your Primate service,” the Metropolitan of Kiev wished the Patriarch.
