The UOC Chancellor believes that the tomos did not help overcome the church schism in Ukraine

The believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church remained faithful to the Church and the Primate, despite the threats and aggression from the schismatics. This was stated by the UOC Chancellor, Metropolitan Anthony (Pakanich), Phrase writes.

“Contrary to all the forecasts of biased ‘experts’, what happened happened: the schismatics united for a short time, several representatives of the clergy from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church passed to them, but in fact nothing changed. The believers of the UOC, as they were faithful to their Hierarchy and the Church, remain so to this day. And various schismatic groups have been at enmity with each other, and continue to be at enmity. Aggression against believers by schismatics and seizures of churches have not disappeared either. As you can see, everything remains as it is. The schism was never overcome,” said Metropolitan Anthony.

The manager of the UOC stressed that for a long period there was not “a hint of regret or repentance” on the part of the representatives of the Phanar in relation to the church schism in Ukraine.
