Already more than 150 clerics from 12 countries in Africa have been accepted into the Patriarchal Exarchate in Africa, and their number is growing. The Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Leonid of Klin told about this in an interview to the Spas TV channel.
He refuted the statements of the propagandists and hierarchs of the Phanar and the Patriarchate of Alexandria that banned clerics are transferring to the ROC – everyone who wants to transfer to the ROC undergoes a thorough check.
The ROC intends to develop not only religious, but also social activities in Africa, so as not to earn money from Africans, as the Phanariots did, but to bring spiritual and material development to the people of Africa.
He also noted that the Exarchate is preparing to appoint bishops to Africa, and added that Patriarch Kirill blessed the creation of quotas for admission to the spiritual institutions of the Russian Orthodox Church for residents of Africa.
