Celebrations on the occasion of the name day of the Primate have been canceled in the Polish Church

The Office of the Warsaw Metropolis has issued a message that on January 25, 2022, on the feast of St. Sava of Serbia, solemn events dedicated to the name day of the Primate of the Polish Orthodox Church are cancelled. The corresponding decision was made taking into account the well-being of His Beatitude Metropolitan Sava, writes Pravlife.

“Due to the state of health of His Eminence, the name day in the Metropolitan Cathedral is canceled,” the Chancellery said in a statement.

The festivities on the occasion of the namesake of Metropolitan Sava were to be held in the Cathedral of St. Mary Magdalene Equal-to-the-Apostles in Warsaw.
