Metropolitan Gregory of Cameroon (the Patriarchate of Alexandria) spoke in his presentation at the recent meeting of the Holy Synod of the Hierarchy of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa on the subject of “the attempted intrusion of the Moscow Patriarchate into the canonical territory of the Patriarchate of Alexandria”.

The Metropolitan of Cameroon stressed the need for strong resistance to the attempt to overthrow the canonical order, because “action of the Moscow Patriarchate is not only directed against the Patriarchate of Alexandria but is an attempt to overthrow the entire canonical order of the Church”.

Earlier, the cleric of the ROC stated that near a half of clergymen in Africa decided to join the Exarchate of the Russian Church.
