Archpriest Vasily Balan, Dean of the Murovanokurilovets deanery of the Mogilev-Podolsk diocese, published a video on Facebook in which he expressed the opinion that the head of the OCU, Epiphany Dumenko, betrayed his “spiritual father”, the head of the UOC-KP Filaret Denisenko.
“They deceived and betrayed their “spiritual father”, who “ordained” Epiphanius and other bishops, Filaret, an old man who led his so-called children to the top. Who knew Epiphanius before? Nobody has heard of this man. How did you “unify Ukraine” if you cannot even unite among yourselves?” he said, and explained that the “unifying” council of schismatics was only on paper, but in fact it divided the whole country and Orthodoxy.
