Archbishop Anastasy accused Patriarch Bartholomew of the fact that the ROC created an exarchate in Africa – expert

In fact, Archbishop Anastassy accused Patriarch Bartholomew and his actions of the fact that the ROC has now created an exarchate in Africa: he emphasizes that back in 2019 he called on everyone to gather in the spirit of councils for all local Churches and discuss the situation in a spirit of brotherhood and mutual understanding. Blogger Alexander Voznesensky wrote about this.

“As you know, Patriarch Bartholomew, in response to such initiatives, said that he would block the holding of the council, that he did not consider it necessary to hold it, and everyone should simply accept his personal initiative as if it were some kind of will of the emperor. When they pointed out to him that his actions could spread the split in Ukraine to the entire Church and create a world split, he only grinned and said that this was nonsense, provocation and propaganda. Now we see that even the hierarchs from the so-called “Greek bloc” of Orthodox Churches have become obvious that the actions of Bartholomew led to a world schism in Orthodoxy.

And, in fact, now the Church must judge him for those actions by which he created a schism in the Orthodox Church, guided by the desire for absolute power over the Church, ”wrote Voznesensky.

Earlier, Archbishop Anastassy of Tirana, commenting on the decision of the ROC to establish the African Exarchate, wrote that the split in connection with the tomos of the OCU was followed by a split on the difficult African continent.
