The Telegram-channel “Fr. Alwian`s Blog” posted the letter of thanks of the former cleric of the Alexandrian Patriarchate Fr. Pishoy Odhiam to the Russian Orthodox Church, as well as to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, headed by Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv.

“Fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters in Christ! I am coming to you today with great joy! The Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, chaired by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, decided to accept 102 African priests, among whom I was one of the first to apply! We are glad that the Russian Orthodox Church has covered us from schismatics and their sympathizers. We will be in solidarity with the Russian Orthodox Church and the Canonical Church of Ukraine and His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, we will be obedient and loyal to our hierarch, as well as to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church. Thank God!” the cleric addresses.

As previously reported, the ex-Metropolitan of the UOC, now the hierarch of the OCU, Alexander Drabinko, published the passport data of clerics from Africa who came to Moscow in 2020.
