Archimandrite of the Patriarchate of Constantinople Romanos Anastasiadis commented on the divine service of the ROC clergy in Turkey. In his opinion, on December 19, they served in Myra “without the permission of the local bishop.”
“The schismatic Moscow tourists served illegally in Myra, on the day of St. Nicholas in the old style. Their anti-canonical and provocative actions gather and appeal to Heaven. Whatever comes to them, let them not be surprised… For money, they can buy permission from the Turkish authorities, but not God’s grace…”, – wrote the Phanar propagandist on Facebook.
Earlier, Romanos Anastasiadis said that the hierarch of the Church of Cyprus, Metropolitan Athanasius “must resign.”
