A number of deputies, when voting on the law on the forced renaming of the UOC, did not even understand what they were voting for. This was stated by the deputy of “Servant of the People” Oleksandr Kachura “Three years of attempts to forcibly rename the Ukrainian Orthodox Church: consequences, assessments, comments,” writes Pravblog.
According to him, some deputies did not even understand what they were voting for, and some people’s deputies are still ashamed, since they supported the anti-constitutional law to please their leader, who was then the president of Ukraine.
As Kachura noted, the issue with the mentioned law should be resolved in the Constitutional Court.
