Unidentified persons filled the locks of the doors of a church in the Rivne region with silicone. The incident took place on December 19, on the day of commemoration of St. Nicholas, in the courtyard of the Holy Protection Church in the village of Ryasnyky, Rivne region, writes the UOJ.
Headman Mikhail Gaibura, usually the first to come to the temple to open it, could not do it because of the silicone, which was filled in all the holes of the internal and external locks.
As the believers say, the headman waited for the abbot and together with him called the police.
“We wrote a report, we want the law enforcement officers to find out who did it,” says Archpriest Vasily Gotlib, rector of the Holy Protection Church in the village of Ryasniki. “I have been the rector of this parish for 32 years and have never encountered anything like this before, the whole situation is annoying and painful to me.”
To enter the church, the believers of the UOC had to cut off the damaged locks, and immediately after the service, insert new ones.
As previously reported, the UOC community in the village is fighting for his temple with schismatics.
