The Kiev eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church ends 2021 with statistics: 397 parishes, 829 clergy, 1189 monks: 613 in men’s and 576 in women’s monasteries. This is stated in the report of the head of the Kiev eparchy, the Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine, which he announced at the final eparchian meeting in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, writes Znaj.

His Beatitude noted that there are 397 parishes in the Kiev eparchy: 162 of them are in Kiev and 235 are in the region. There are 829 clergy in the parishes and monasteries of the Kiev eparchy: in Kiev – 563, namely, 457 priests and 106 deacons; in the region – 266, namely 238 priests and 28 deacons.

In the Kiev eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, there are 475 churches with a throne and 43 rooms equipped for worship. This year, 4 new churches were consecrated, 11 priests and 19 deacons were ordained.

There are 22 monasteries in the eparchy: 12 for men and 10 for women. In monasteries, including stavropegic monasteries, 1189 people will listen: 613 for men and 576 for women. There are 9 stauropegic monasteries subordinate to the Metropolitan of Kiev and all Ukraine.
